What, So What, Now What: (Modified from National School Reform Faculty Protocol)
There are a lot of ways to run this protocol -- at the core of it is that the conversation revolves around three questions:
What? -- What did I see today that caused me to think, wonder, dream, plan, question
So What? -- What are the consequences, ramifications of what I saw?
Now What? -- What are the next steps for me? my school? my district?
This is probably best done first in small groups of 3-4 people at tables for 15-20 minutes, and then brought back to the larger group.
Very important -- we’re not going to go wrong here if we just get people talking and reflected about what they saw and how change could happen in their own communities as a result.
If folks want to blog / write / whatever about this stuff, that’s awesome too.
